Phoned in my tub measurements, with my concerns. I was informed by Claire that they have my tubs measurements on file and they would make the cover by their measurements. Result is a cover way too big, in fact my cover had to be modified for the too wide cover....

Hello Marc S.You provided your make and model, we provided you with the measurements we have on file and you asked us to ADD an inch to these. Specs on file are 76" x 76" and you ordered 77" x 77".

Your hot tub pictures you sent show sizing at 75" and your old cover was 74.5", which does not make sense!Wow what confusion with all the different dimensions. This is why we suggest to all our customers to get out the tape measure, ask a friend to hold one end and measure the acrylic to the widest.When the order was placed you were uncertain, we guided you. We tell everyone the cover is custom made to the half inch.

Sorry Marc, you confirmed the 77 was how you wanted to proceed. The cover hangs over a bit but does not look that bad.

This is painful to read. I ordered a cover in May, 2018 and now 5 weeks later there is no indication they are going to make/ship it.

What is worse, is that when i asked about the status of the order a few weeks ago, i was told it was shipped in early April, a month before I ordered it. Not only that, but they said it shipped to Florida, but I live in New England. They also claimed they shipped it with Yellow Freight, but a call to that company confirmed they've never seen a shipment scheduled for my address.

Now The Cover Guy people are not returning calls or emails. I have a really bad feeling about this.

We do respond to all email inquiries within 24 hours and apologize if we missed or did not get your email.

I have inquired with accounting and they have no record of an inquiry from a bank claiming fraud.

If you received an email that your cover was shipped on November 6th and you still have not received it we do need to check with the transport company. The shipping email provides the transport company and tracking number. I can contact them on your behalf.

If you placed your order on November 6th, the shipping delay is 3 to 4 weeks which means your cover should ship out this week or early next week.

We will email you the tracking information.

Still waiting for my cover which was promised to us in 3-4 weeks, it has now been more than 6 weeks and it has not arrived. Apparently they had a problem in production... very dissatisfied with their customer service, would NOT recommend the cover guy at this point.

The Cover Guy in Markham, Ontario - False advertising, inferior product

My 2 previous hot tub covers were from Beachcomber. The cost Was 500 dollars and both lasted 5 years with little wear other than discoloration. Our first time with the cover guy cost us 400 dollars. there advertising states highest quality materials to withstand harsh Canadain winters, a totally false and misleading statement. we Received our hot tub cover in October 2013 and by March 2014 the seams were coming apart in the middle. We called The cover guy who deferred us to the warranty company. The warranty people never called us back. A very unethical outfit in our estimation. Will never recommend them. Our cover died after 6 of 7 years but they did give us a small credit which offset the price increase from the first one. At least they had all the past info.

on file. The new one has more slope to it (thicker in the middle) which is their new standard and the vapour barrier is different and hopefully better. The last one did get water logged but only on one side, straps and handles broke but then again we did get six years out of it through some terrible winters and hot summers.

I'm okay with the product and treatment received and would order from them again. Even though we got 6 out of 7 years that was still far better than the original supplied by Aruba Spas which only lasted 4 years.
