Should have checked reviews before purchase and paid the price for not doing so.Purchased a hot tub cover from these guys (paying extra to upgrade the vapor proof barrier) in February 2017.

In November, after 8 months of mostly summertime use, I complained to the company that the foam inside the cover was waterlogged and very difficult to lift. They insisted on pictures, which I provided, showing (and they admitted) the discoloration by severe chemical damage. Their claim was I didn't fully open the spa when in use. What??

They think I only opened half?? This cover was opened fully at least every other day when in use and also when chemicals were added. They offered a "deal" on a replacement which was pretty much the same as I had paid for the original. Meaning the warranty is useless as was the "upgrade" for the vapor proof barrier seal AND the energy seal.

Why bother if it doesn't seal anything.Very disappointed in the quality of the cover and will NEVER do business with the Cover Guy again.

Review about: The Cover Guy Hot Tub Cover.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $300.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

I didn't like: Warranty service, Company solution.

The warranty does not cover waterlogging caused by severe chemical damage. This cover had the underside bleached out which shows improper care.

This is not a result of a manufacturing defect and would not be covered under any hot tub cover warranty.

We tried to work with this customer and offered a discounted remake as the full cover required replacement.

Water quality should be tested on a regular basis plus occasionally tested by a specialist at your local store.

Thank you
